Akash handles the work around the work at SCO CIC: budgets, funding applications, schedules, partner communication, compliance and reporting. He set up the CIC so Chris, Leigh and other project leads could stay focused on the sessions, walls and people while the business end had somewhere solid to live.
His Sheffield community work goes back to BiGYEC and later Carousel, where he helped secure EU funding and taught media skills for employment. He also worked alongside Sheffield City Breakers before it became Industrial Elements. Earlier still, he performed through Flite Freerunning and Steel Motion at Sheffield events and stages around the country. That mix of movement, funding and delivery is what he brings to SCO CIC now.
Akash has also spent eight years working in search and has spoken at BrightonSEO three times. Through Cited, he helps grassroots organisations with search, websites and AI workflows. Cited also provides project tools and technical support to SCO CIC in kind.
